Saxophone Mouthpiece - Refacing and Repairs

(Scroll down page for testimonials)

We have been refacing and repairing Saxophone mouthpieces for some time.

We have many refaced pieces in stock and are continually looking for perfection in the facings and interior design.

We try to make the mouthpiece play as bright or dark as required by the customer without adding a baffle. However, a baffle may be added on request.

Mouthpieces leave our workshop with evenness of scale and timbre from the bottom notes to the highest harmonic.

All pieces are personally tested by Ross before leaving the workshop.

Testimonials

Hi Ross,

Got the other Lakey over the weekend and have had a chance to really play it.

I am very impressed.

Plays great, big and fat with just a huge sound.

Thanks

Ross,

I just recieved the mouthpiece. It sounds and plays great. Actually, it really matches my style better than I thought it would. Thanks buddy.

Berg Larson

I had Ross do some work on a Berg Larson Tenor piece that had been absolutely destroyed by its previous owner. The facing was uneven, the tip was completely mutilated and it was impossible to get any sound whatsoever out of it. What Ross did to this piece is amazing. He opened the tip to 120thou, thinned the rails and evened out the facing. This piece is by far my favourite rock and funk piece because of its huge sound, bright tone and awesome response in both the lower and higher registers and harmonics. Everyone that has heard and/or played on this piece has asked me where I got it and how they can get one. This piece does Ross's work all the justice it deserves!

Yamahas

I have many students who are after a better tone but are too young to look into buying a new $200 - $300 mouthpiece. I sent some of their Yamaha 4C Alto pieces to Ross to see what he could do with them. Ross set them up like a New York Meyer 5 and you would not know the difference. The tone, the response and the accuracy of the pieces was unbelievable. I took them to a few different professional sax players in Brisbane and they could not believe that they were Yamaha 4C. Even the finish was immaculate.

" Ross has recently re-sculptured my 'Berg Larson ' tenor and 'Lakey ' alto mouth pieces respectively. - I've spent a considerable amount of time and money over the years searching for the mouthpiece that really shines. - I now have no need to keep searching. - Thanks to Ross's knowledge and expertise I have found the Holy Grail.
